Military Standardization Committee

The Military Standardization Committee (WKN) is a collegial body participating in MOD standardization activities. It implements the tasks in the field of operational and administrative standardization, related mostly to the implementation of NATO standardization documents (operational and administrative) into the Polish Armed Forces (PAF) practice through Defence Standards (NO) and defence standardization handbooks (PDNO), supporting the realization of NATO Force Goals for Poland.

The Military Standardization Committee priorities

  1. Development of Defence Standards and defence standardization handbooks, implementing the provisions of NATO Standardization Agreements (STANAGs) and Allied Publications (AP) as well as required during the implementation of NATO Force Goals for Poland.
  2. Development of analytical-research works in order to draw up Poland’s replies on ratification and implementation of STANAGs.
  3. Development of national standardization documents as a part of implementation of NATO Force Goals for Poland .
  4. Development of Defence Standards and defence standardization handbooks resulting directly from conclusions of analytical-research works concerning NATO STANAGs.
  5. Development of military terminology used in the PAF current practice.
